A woman without a mahram cannot perform Umrah. Also, a non-Muslim cannot get Umrah visa because there are number of repercussions on them from Saudi Government. But Muslims are eligible for Umrah visa by being connected to a firm or agency. UMRAH PACKAGES FROM LONDON can get you visa as well as accommodation facilities. Umrah can be done at any stage of life. Multiples of Umrah can be performed in life and there is no limitation for them.

According to the teachings of Islam, Umrah can be performed at any stage of life but cannot be performed by

Women who are above below 45 years of age. She is only eligible to perform Umrah with a Mahram. A Mahram is a person who is close to woman and a blood relation too. Woman cannot marry his mahram so that is a father a brother or a son. So, the woman must have a man who is above 17 and is adult. Woman above 45 years of age does not require Mahram and can perform Umrah with a tour group. She just needs to submit a no objection certificate from her family.

On the contrary according to new rule of Saudi Government; woman without mehram should keep in mind these things:

● She knows how to take care of herself.

● She must pray in woman’s area.

● She should avoid gathering in crowd.

● She should recite Talbiyah in low tone and shouldn’t raise her voice.

● There are several women on menstrual cycle before going to Hajj or Umrah. But there are no restrictions for women to perform umrah while being on menstrual period. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) have advised Aisha (RA) to complete the Umrah. But there are some narrations in state of Hajj or Umrah which states that woman should wait for menses to finish and perform Tawaaf in state of purity. Umrah is a pure state of soul and body. It always demands to be in wudu or ablution. Tawaaf is circling round the Kaabah. So, the person must be in state of wudu.

● A disabled man or severely ill person who is not obliged to perform umrah on its own, there are different school of thoughts for such person and can pay expenses to someone who can perform it on his behalf. But a man who is healthy and have no deformity cannot ask someone to perform Umrah on his behalf. Because Hajj is an obligatory act of Islam and shoulf be done by every person on his owm. While Umrah is sunnah. So, Hajj can be performed by another person in certain conditions. But there is no point of performing Umrah on other’s behalf.

● There are restrictions for non-Muslims who are not welcomed on Umrah visa. Tourist visa can get non-Muslims in Saudi Arabia but are not allowed to certain places which are sacred for Muslims. Tourist visa is valid for almost 1 year tenure and allows multiple entries in country.

Umrah is a Nafal worship and is a Sunnah of Holy prophet (PBUH). Hajj can be done but there are different opinions of scholars that who can perform on others behalf. A healthy person cannot demand from someone to perform Umrah.

Some people are not able as they are physically disabled and rely on others for the Umrah and Hajj. To perform Umrah on other’s behalf it requires Niyyah. It is not compulsory to say Niyyah loud but you can only say it in your heart that “O Allah please accept my Umrah on behalf of my father or mother”. In this way u can perform Umrah on someone behalf who is not able to do so physically. Umrah can also be performed on behalf of someone dead to relive the soul of dead. Indeed, Umrah is a spiritual worship and the one performing it can get all the rites and benefits of it so Muslim scholars’ advice to perform it in person and not on other’s behalf. It gets a high place in Jannah if performed with passion and heed so that we can get Allah’s will and secure our faith in the Holiness of Islam.
